Welcome to Hec Ed. Big one tonight with Colorado in town for its first trip to Seattle since joining the Pac-12. Gamethread starts on the jump:

> Washington uses what is becoming a common formula: defense and rebounding to beat Colorado 64-54 and move to 4-0 in conference play for just the second time under Lorenzo Romar.

> Washington in control, up 58-50 with 42.4 to go.

> Under-4 timeout and Washington leads 52-44 with 3:52 to play.

> Coaches with big praise for Jarreau as Colorado calls timeout. Washington up 10, 48-38, with 7:12 to go.

> That was a huge hoop by Eli Stalzer, of all people. Colorado on the ropes down 10 before that. 42-36 Huskies with 10:39 to go.

> Under-16 timeout and Washington leads 28-23 despite not having scored since the half. Simmons just picked up his third foul with 15:58 to go.

> Washington leads 28-20 at the half. Colorado shot just 29.2 percent. Good defense, but also poor offense by Colorado. Wilcox has 11 points at the half. Desmond Simmons has seven rebounds.

> Colorado has gone cold, missing 10 of its last 11 shots. Washington is up 23-17 with 3:52 to go in the half. Abdul Gaddy has three offensive rebounds. The Buffs are shooting just 28.6 percent.

> Colorado gets a little haggard and Tad Boyle calls timeout with 6:31 left after Andrew Andrews’ pullup jumper puts Washington in front 21-17.

> Under-12 timeout and Colorado creeping back in as Washington’s offense stalls with the second unit on the floor. 13-10 Washington. Shawn Kemp Jr. had a missed shot, a turnover and a missed help assignment since he came in for Aziz N’Diaye. Colorado’s Andre Roberson, the conference’s leading rebounder, has consecutive hoops to help Colorado climb back into the game.

> Under-16 timeout and Washington leads 9-4. Loudest crowd of the season (which isn’t a high bar). Washington with a crisp start. Washington is

> A decent crowd for this one. Not a sellout, however.

> Huskies go with normal starters of Gaddy, Suggs, Wilcox, Simmons and N’Diaye. Colorado will start Johnson, Booker, Dinwiddie, Roberson and Scott.
