Good evening, all. It’s cool and there is a layer of snow on the ground from Spokane to Pullman. The game thread starts after the jump:

> Washington blows a 17-point lead, but hangs on to beat the Cougars and move to 1-0 in Pac-12 play.

> Andrew Andrews has hit the front end of a one and one to put Washington up 65-63 with 22.8 left.

> Back-and-forth now. WSU will have the ball up 59-58 with 3:10 left in the game following the under-4 timeout.

> Brock Motum hits a 3-pointer and Washington State leads for the first time, 51-50. The under-8 timeout has just been called with 6:58 left in the game. Washington is wilting after having a 17-point first-half lead.

> Wilcox is exhausted and Suggs has three fouls. Cougars pull within 46-42 and UW calls timeout.

> Bricks, bad calls and a timeout. Washington leads this rock fight 41-36 with 11:56 to go.

> A quiet start to the second half. Washington leads 39-31 with 15:53 to go after Gaddy a nice job of faking the UCLA cut and stepping back for a clean 3 that Washington desperately needed.

> Washington shots 52.2 percent in the first half and Washington State just 27.6 percent, yet the  Huskies’ lead is a mere seven points. Wilcox had 13 on 4-for-7 shooting. He also has six rebounds.

> Halftime. Washington leads 34-27 after being up 17 at one point. Slog through second part of first half could haunt them.

> Washington continues to lead. Up 30-22 with 2:14 left in the half and Wilcox going to the line.

> Under-4 timeout and things tightening up a bit here. Washington up 27-17 with 3:52 to go. Wilcox just jammed with two hands off a drive. Suggs just committed his second foul.

> Under-8 timeout and it’s 23-10 Washington with 7:33 to go. Cougs getting a couple things done as Washington looks lax.

> Kemp back-to-back jams and WSU calls another timeout. It’s 21-4 and everyone is sitting stunned.

> Wilcox from WAY out makes it 17-4. Cougs can’t get anything started and Washington is crisp offensively.

> Motum just one shot attempt. N’Diaye ignoring Shelton, just waiting on Motum to come near him. Maybe Bone goes small at some point.

> Under-16 timeout comes late, with 13:42 to go. Washington leads 9-2. Cougs just 1-for-9 from field to start.

> Timeout WSU. Wilcox bangs a 3 as the trail guy, it’s 9-0 and the crowd is silent.

> WSU starters: Lacy, Ladd, Wooldridge, Motum, Shelton.

> Huskies starters: Gaddy, Wilcox, Suggs, Simmons, N’Diaye.

> In case you missed it, UCLA stayed hot and beat Stanford 68-60 earlier today. Arizona barely beat Utah, 60-57, in Tucson. The Wildcats continue to live dangerously, playing in close game after close game.

> Halfcourt shot with his back turned is cash for Butch on his first attempt.

> So far, we’ve heard “Space Jam” and “Gangnam Style” played here at Beasley. Off to a bumpy start in pregame.

> Everyone is dressed and participating in warmups for Washington.
