Jeff Goodman of CBS Sports wrote today that former Kentwood star Josh Smith will be heading to Georgetown. Goodman says Smith picked Georgetown over Kansas.
Though many, including Goodman, linked Washington and Seattle U to Smith during the process, the local schools were not very involved. The big challenge for Washington would have been getting Smith cleared to transfer within conference, had he wanted to do so. Seattle U had not talked with Smith.
In other personnel news, Kameron Rooks, a 6-11, 270-pound center from San Marcos, Calif., announced on Twitter he is going to Cal. Rooks chose Cal over Washington, Connecticut, Arizona and Arizona State.
Washington has point guard Nigel Williams-Goss and guard Darin Johnson committed for next season. The Huskies are among the final three for uber-recruit Aaron Gordon.
