Pregame  notes ….

Desmond Trufant is in street clothes with an ailing hamstring. Junior Greg Ducre will get the start in his place.

The Huskies are also light at running back with Dezden Petty and Erich Wilson III both banged up. Outsinde linebacker Taz Stevenson took some reps at running back during warmups.

It’s a perfect day here. Almost 60 degrees and sunny

First quarter

The score is 0-0. The Huskies missed a field goal and became the first team to not score against Colorado in the first quarter this season. The game is just ugly. Penalties, turnovers and general poor play. Steve Sarkisian cannot be pleased.

Second quarter

1:02 — UW finally gets on the board as Keith Price hits Cody Bruns for a 7-yard TD pass. That is the first career TD for the fifth-year receiver out of Prosser

Halftime notes …

this song should have been playing in the background for the first half. Yes, it was that bad.  Don’t believe me? Check out some this blog post with some of the worst moments of the first half.

In his halftime radio interview with Elise Woodward, Steve Sarkisian called the first half ridiculous.

Washington rolled up 190 yards of total offense and had 10 first downs, but just 7 points to show for it. Colorado had 71 yards of total offense and never got past the 50 yard line. UW has committed four penalties for a total of 45 yards.

Keith Price completed 11 of 14 passes for 118 yard and TD. Bishop Sankey rushed for 83 yards on 15 carries. He also has three catches for 28 yards. Kasen Williams has three catches for 37 yards.

Third quarter

12:01 — A heads up play by Kevin Smith leads to another touchdown for UW. After a sluggish first possession of the third quarter that was bogged down by an offensive pass interference call on Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Washington was forced to punt the ball away. On the punt, the ball hit off the shoulder of a Colorado player. As it was bouncing toward the sideline, Smith went into basketball mode and saved the ball before it could go out of bounds. The ball came back in to play was tipped up in the air and corralled by Will Shamburger giving UW possession on the CU 35.

Washington needed just three plays to find the end zone as Keith Price hit Kasen Williams on a 17-yard TD pass.

6:15 — Colorado finally gets on the board. A 59-yard kickoff return helped set up the field position. The Buffaloes appeared to have a touchdown, but a holding call negated a Jordan Webb touchdown pass. So Colorado settled for a 37-yard field goal.

1:07 — Travis Coons boots 25-yard field goal as more penalties on UW turned a touchdown to a field goal.

Fourth Quarter

9:24 — Keith Price hits Austin Seferian-Jenkins for a TD pass. Price saw the oncoming rush, stayed in the pocket and made the throw while getting hit to an open ASJ. UW leads 31-3

5:01 — Keith Price hits Jaydon Mickens for another TD pass. That’s the fifth TD pass for Price today – a career high and tying a school record  also held by Jake Locker.
