As expected, Washington received a National Letter of Intent on Friday from point guard Nigel Williams-Goss.
Williams-Goss is a 6-foot-4 point guard who plays at high school powerhouse/basketball factory Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nev. He verbally committed to Washington some time back, and backed his words with ink Friday.
He’s the second recruit signed for the 2013-14 season here in the early signing period, which runs from Nov 14-21. Guard Darin Johnson out of Sacramento, Calif., signed Wednesday.
Williams-Goss also had offers from Harvard, Oklahoma, UCLA and UNLV.
“We are very pleased to have Nigel join our team,” Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar said in a press release. “He is a great floor general. He is very intelligent and has high, high basketball I.Q. He understands what it takes to win and is a great leader. Guys like him don’t come around very often.”
