Washington’s football and men’s basketball teams have graduation success rates a bit ahead of the national average.
The NCAA released new figures Thursday, showing the graduation success rate of athletes — meaning, the percentage of athletes who started college careers in 2005 and have graduated in the subsequent six-year window — has reached 70 percent on average in both football and men’s basketball for the first time.
Washington’s football program is at 74 percent (which makes it second in the conference). The basketball program is at 78 percent (tied for third).
Stanford leads the conference in football (90) and basketball (91).
