While the Seahawks were rallying against the Patriots, the Huskies were getting a verbal commitment from a three- or four-star recruit, depending on which ratings service you prefer.

Darin Johnson, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Sacramento, tweeted Sunday that he committed to Washington. Johnson will have an opportunity to sign during the early signing period, which is Nov. 14-21.

Johnson is the second verbal commitment for the class of 2013. Nigel Williams-Goss, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound point guard who plays at Findlay Prep in Nevada, has also committed to Washington.

Rivals rates Johnson as a three-star prospect. Scout.com rates him as a four-star prospect. Williams-Goss is rated a four-star prospect.
