Editor’s note: Followers of the UW blog have known for years that football coach Steve Sarkisian does not comment on formations and strategy from team practices – and reporters are not allowed to account their observations.

Well, Sarkisian and the university added a new item to the do-not-tell list – injuries (which some Pacific-12 Conference schools have already outlawed)

Here is the press release sent out by the university today:

Washington Football Practice Policy
Effective Immediately (Sept. 12, 2012)

“As a condition of entry to UW football practices, all visitors andmembers of the media are hereforth prohibited from reporting on strategy or injury-related news observed during practices. No players or coaches will have any comments on injuries or any such information.”

Sarkisian later issued an explanation on his own blog.
