Sorry about the delay, but I’m helping out with Seahawks tonight so I had to hustle after practice and get to CenturayLink Stadium, much like the Huskies players and coaches who are also at the game.

The story of the practice was linebacker injury. A day after Garrett Gilliland retired and Nate Fellner was announced out with a broken foot, the Huskies watched Thomas Tutogi go down with a sprained knee in practice. Head coach Steve Sarkisian said the injury wasn’t as serious as some. But you can expect Tutogi to miss at least a week or so. Also to note, Princeton Fuiamaono did not practice this afternoon. He was dressed out, but he did not practice. Taz Stevenson (head injury) did not practice for the second straight day.

That left the first team linebackers of John Timu and Jamal Kearse and Evan Zeger. Scott Lawyer also got some reps with the first team.

Other players that sat out for practice were safety James Sample and wide receiver Jaydon Mickens because of groin injuries. Offensive tackle Ross Dulbec sat out of most team drills and had a big bag of ice on his right hamstring.  Defensive linemen Alec Kimble also left the field in the golf cart with Tutogi with an undisclosed injury.

Tre Watson worked at the other No. 1 corner position over Greg Ducre and Marcus Peters. Watson just seems to make plays

Willis Wilson was working at the third team running back and excelled in the early contact drills.
