Thomas set to host elite basketball academy in Tacoma

When: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Where: Henry T. Schatz Boys and Girls Club (3875 South 66th Street, Tacoma, 98409)

Cost: $175.

Skinny: Isaiah Thomas, the Curtis High product who just completed his rookie season in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings, is co-directing six summer camps. One of the stops is in his hometown – Tacoma. Boys and girls, ages 6-17, will learn a variety of basketball skills taught by Thomas and other NBA South Sound players such as Nate Robinson, Jamal Crawford and Jason Terry. Each camp participant will receive a T-shirt and autographed photo of Thomas.
