Head coach Lorenzo Romar joined Softy Mahler on KJR for a lengthy interview today. In the interview, he hinted that the Huskies are the verge of adding another player, saying the “paperwork is not done yet.”

Early rumors are that it is Perris Blackwell - junior transfer from the University of San Francisco. Blackwell is  a 6-9 power forward, who averaged 12.9 points and 6.1 rebounds for the Dons this season. Blackwell is one of six players to leave the USF program, which is coached by former Kansas guard Rex Walters, in the offseason. Blackwell was on campus with Romar on Saturday.

Romar also talked extensively about recent signee Mark McLaughlin, the growth of the Aziz N’Diaye and the team’s experience.

He also talked about his excitement level of coaching next year’s team.

“I’ll tell you this, I’m really, really looking forward to coaching this team,” he said.
