Washington earns No. 1 seed in NIT and hosts University of Texas-Arlington on Tuesday

The NIT brackets have come out. As expected, Washington earned a No. 1 seed and will play the University of Texas-Arlington on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Alaska Airlines arena.  Besides the Huskies, Oregon, Stanford and Arizona are also inthe tournament

The Mavericks have a 24-8 overall record and finished with a 15-1 record in the Southland Conference. They won the title, but were knocked off McNeese State, 92-72, in the Southland tournament semifinals. Lamar, coached by Pat Knight, eventually won the tournament.
