Well, the Washington Huskies’ NCAA tourney hopes took a hit when Colorado knocked off No. 2 seeded Cal. The Buffaloes advance to the title game where they will face Arizona.

How did Colorado win? They did it with a suffocating defense that never let Cal really get going. The trademark Bears ball movement wasn’t as crisp as CU challenged every pass, bump Cal players of their cut and contested every shot. It also helped that Colorado came out ultra hot with Nate Tomlinson and Andre Roberson burying 3-pointers early in the first half. Neither are prolific 3-point shooters. The hot start gave Colorado some confidence.

The Bears were just too turnover prone. It killed them in the game. They had 17 in comparison’s to CU’s 9.

Andre Roberson was really good, It’s tough to appreciate how much he does defensively and on the glass. Carlon Brown punctuated the win with a sick dunk (above)

Cal will still likely get into the tournament. But will Washington?
