It was an ugly game between two teams who are solid defensively and not so explosive offensively. Credit Utah, the Utes played hard. With the way their season has gone, they could have mailed it in a long time ago. But they played hard for head coach LarryKrystkowiak. The Utes needed to make this game as ugly as possible to have a chance. So they grinded down the pace of play, played good defense and tried to keep it close.
It almost worked. But Colorado was just a little too good inside. They beat Utah to a few loose balls and capitalized.
Andrew Roberson had 20 points and 11 rebounds and Carlon Brown added 15 points and eight boards. Jason Washburn led the Utes, who shot 35 percent from the field, with 11 points.
From the Colorado quote sheet …
Tad Boyle: I know we set the game back a little bit tonight. I think it was an ugly game. I’m sure it was an ugly one to watch, but we grinded it out. We did what we had to do to win a game.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect was that actress Hayden Panetierre was sitting courtside along with her boyfriend Scotty McKnight – Colorado’s all-time leading reception leader.

Of course, I tweeted it … cause, well, that’s what I do.
and it led to this brilliant response …
