C.J. Wilcox named Pac-12 men’s basketball player of the week

The Pac-12announced today that C.J. Wilcox has been named Bank of the West Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 7-13,

The sophomore led Washington in scoring in both games over the weekend as the Huskies went 2-0 to start theWorld Vision Classic in Seattle. On Saturday, Wilcox scored 22 points in a 91-74 victory over Georgia State, burying five 3-pointers and going 8-12 from the field overall. He also notched six rebounds, three assists and two steals.

On Sunday he scored 13 second-half points to add to his 19-point total against Sun Belt preseason favorite Florida Atlantic. He also set a career high with four steals and tied a career best with two blocks.

On the weekend, Wilcox averaged 20.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.0 bpg and 3.0 spg while shooting 8-of-13 (61.5 percent) from 3-point range.

This is Wilcox’s first career Pac-12 Player of the Week honor and the 43rd all-time selection for Washington.
