Steve Sarkisian had his weekly Friday radio spot with Softy Mahler on KJR. There was nothing earth-shattering in the interview.
Sarkisian did say that wide receiver Kasen Williams, who has been battling a high ankle sprain, will play on Saturday. Williams has looked really strong this week in practice.
As for his hopes, Sarkisian just wants to be in it the fourth quarter, giving them a chance to win.
“We understand that this a bigger challenge than we faced earlier in the year,” he said.
What I do expect to happen is when there’s 15 minutes left on the clock at the start of the fourth quarter, that it’s a ball game. I think that’s going to be one of the keys for us. Put them in a football game in the fourth quarter because they haven’t been in on yet. And they haven’t been in one in a long time.
