Notes from Tuesday’s football practice with video of Nick Holt

Pretty solid practice from Washington today as the team prepares itself for Stanford.  Taz Stevenson still isn’t doing much at practice. But it appears Kasen Williams is healthy. During the late team period he beat Quinton Richardson on a fade route. A cynic might say, “Like I’ve never seen Richardson beaten deep before.”

But Williams reached back on the pass that seemed to out of his grasp and pull it in one handed while falling down backward and making the catch. It was a ridiculous catch.

UW showed a lot of nickel with Quinton Richardson as the extra defensive back with Justin Glenn remaining as the free safety. In the nickel, the Huskies would be more athletic in the secondary to run with Stanford’s tight ends. But they will be outsized as Holt talked about in the video above.
