Two prime time games set up for Huskies in 2011

A winning season, a high-profile coach and a rich tradition that seems to be coming back into focus are all attractive to television producers. And Washington raked some of that benefit in Tuesday when ABC-TV/ESPN marked the Huskies for two of their marquee games in 2011.

The UW’s game Oct. 22 at Stanford (ABC, ESPN or EPSN2) has been set for 5 p.m. PT, and the Huskies’ meeting at Southern California (ABC, ESPN have first dibs) will kick off at 12:30 p.m. PT.

I visited with Peters last week, and he said Washington remains his favorite, but he needs a qualifying ACT score to re-classify into the 2011 class. Peters takes a preparatory SAT/ACT course every Friday, and will take the test again
