Starters could change; Suggs probably out

A few highlights from our meeting with UW men’s basketball coach Lorenzo Romar today:

* The starting lineup could change for tomorrow’s game against Long Beach State. Romar wouldn’t say, but he made clear that he was dissatisfied with the rebounding of his team in Maui. That could be Darnell Gant out… and Romar restated that Aziz N’Diaye could move into the starting lineup “eventually.”

* Scott Suggs is suffering from a strained MCL. Romar doesn’t expect this to be a serious of long-term thing, but it could keep Suggs out tomorrow.

*Venoy Overton is still less than 100 percent due to a tailbone injury. There’s no indication that Overton will miss tomorrow, but his minutes could be limited. That will be a gametime decision.

* He doesn’t yet consider free throw shooting — currently at 63.3 percent — a problem.
