The Cardinal went into conservative play-calling mode, designed to run out the clock in this laugher at Husky Stadium – one that saw the UW hit offensive lows it hasn’t seen in decades.

The Huskies were shut out at home for the first time since 1976 (7-0 loss against California in early November).

The only scoring of this final quarter was Nate Whitaker’s 39-yard field goal at the 5:41 mark.

The Stanford score was set up by Jake Locker’s second interception. He was picked off by Delano Howell wilth 13:08 remaining.

Locker was replaced by backup Keith Price with 5:41 to go.

The team’s 107 yards (with 53 coming in the final quarter) were the fewest since 1973 when the Huskies had 103 at Oregon.
