Ute Zone reporting Utah leaving Mountain West

The conventional wisdom of Utah joining what would be the Pac-12 may be coming true as the Ute Zone Rivals website is reporting that the school has informed the Mountain West Conference that it will be leaving.

Meanwhile, the Salt Lake Tribune is reporting thatUtah would be free to leave the MWC without any buyout penalty.

If things stop here, it would mean an addition of Nebraska to the Big Ten, the addition of Colorado and Utah to the Pac-10, and Utah out but Boise State in for the Mountain West.
