Postseason chances … looking up?

It’s hard to imagine after two straight losses, but UW’s tournament chances may have improved this week. With Oregon and Arizona in free-fall, that important No. 6 spot in the conference race seems to be coming back to the Huskies.

In fact, if Washington beats Oregon State on Thursday and WSU beats Oregon, then the Huskies-Ducks game on Saturday would actually be a battle for sixth place.

In any case, this is a crucial week for the Huskies post-season chances. If they sweep the Oregon schools, they might be able to get it with only a home split next week against the LA schools. If they split this week, they probably need to win out. And if they get swept this week, then they can pretty much punch their ticket to the NIT.
