Washington free safety C.J. Wallace was named today to the All-Pac-10 first team, which was voted on by conference head football coaches.

Linebacker Scott White was named to the second team.

Earning honorable mentions were kicker Michael Braunstein, punter Sean Douglas, cornerback Dashon Goldson, defensive end Greyson Gunheim, wide receiver Sonny Shackelford, quarterback Isaiah Stanback and guard Clay Walker.

California Golden Bears won both top individual honors as tailback Marshawn Lynch was named offensive player of the year, and cornerback Daymieon Hughes was named defensive player of the year.

Southern California’s Pete Carroll was named coach of the year for the third time in his six seasons at the school.

Freshman of the year honors were shared by three defensive backs: Jairus Byrd of Oregon, Taylor Mayes of USC and Alterraun Verner of UCLA. Mayes is a true freshman from O’Dea High School of Seattle.
