The City of Sumner has reopened the East Valley Highway through the city after last week’s storms.

City crews will now work on reopening West Valley Highway. The city reports the roadway might not be ready to reopen today.

“Drivers should prepare for alternate routes as the West Valley Highway may still be closed in Sumner for this evening’s and tomorrow morning’s commutes,” the city reported.

Forest Canyon also remains closed in Sumner.
