The crash occurred shortly after 5:30 a.m. on South 212th Street just east of state Route 167.

UPDATED: Small landslide closes part of downtown Kent street

A section of Central Avenue in downtown Kent was closed overnight because of a small landslide, Kent police reported.

The street remains closed this morning as crews clean up the mess.

The landslide swept trees onto the roadway and took down power lines between Willis and Saar streets shortly before 10:30 p.m.

No one was injured but around 1,400 Puget Sound Energy customers lost power. The electricity has been restored to all customers, according to media reports.
