CLEARED: Avalanche work planned on I-90 this morning; eastbound lanes to temporarily close
UPDATE as of 11:22 a.m.: The work is complete and all lanes are open.
INITIAL POST: A section of Interstate 90 in Snoqualmie Pass will close this morning for avalanche control, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Crews will shut down the eastbound lanes at 10:30 a.m. The closure extends from milepost 56 near Gold Creek to milepost 61 near Price Creek, about four miles east of Snoqualmie Pass’ summit.
It’s unknown how long the work will take.
