CLEARED: Crash blocking both directions of SR 410 near Buckley

An accident is blocking both directions of state Route 410 near Buckley, the state Department of Transportation reported.

The collision occurred about 8 a.m. at milepost 19 near 262nd Avenue East.

All lanes are blocked in both directions, causing major backups.

UPDATE as of 9:56 a.m.: SR 410 is now open. Three people were taken to local hospitals with injuries from the three-car crash.

CLEARED: Rollover causing backups near Tacoma Dome

One person was injured this morning after rolling their car on northbound Interstate 5 near the Tacoma Dome, according to the State Patrol.

The accident, which occurred about noon, caused backups as drivers tried to navigate past the wreckage.

The driver was taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries, trooper Guy Gill said.

CLEARED: Overturned semi blocking off-ramp to northbound I-705 in Tacoma

A collision on northbound Interstate 705 in Tacoma is blocking the off-ramp to City Center, the state Department of Transportation reports.

The accident occurred about 7:15 a.m. at milepost 133 near state Route 7/Pacific Avenue.

Trooper Guy Gill said no one was injured but it’s unclear how long the off-ramp to City Center will remain blocked.

UPDATE as of 8:12 a.m.: WSDOT reports that the northbound Interstate 5 exit to I-705 in Tacoma will stay closed through “at least” the morning as crews work to clear sheetrock from the road that fell off the overturned semi.

Animal parts from rendering truck scattered across Interstate 5 near Lakewood

For those asking about the animal parts scattered across northbound Interstate 5 near exit 122 by Lakewood, the State Patrol said about 6 p.m. that a rendering truck had lost some of its load.

It’s not the first time that’s happened here in Pierce County.

Sounds like Monday’s spill is only blocking the right lane.

CLEARED: Collision blocking lanes on SR 18 in Auburn

A collision on westbound state Route 18 in Auburn is blocking two lanes and causing 1 1/2 miles of traffic backups, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The accident happened about 8 a.m. at milepost 4.

Troopers and emergency personnel are on scene.

 

UPDATE as of 8:16 a.m.: The scene has been cleared and all lanes are open.

CLEARED: Logging truck accident blocking SR 18 in Auburn

A crash on westbound state Route 18 at state Route 167 near Auburn is blocking all lanes and causing major traffic backups.

The accident, which involved a logging truck losing its load, happened about 9:30 a.m. State troopers are on scene.

WSDOT officials said they don’t know when the highway will reopen.

UPDATE as of 11:11 a.m.: The collision is still blocking the right lane and on-ramp from southbound SR 167.

Troopers, a WSDOT Incident Response Team and tow trucks are working to clear the scene.

UPDATE as of 12:57 p.m.: All lanes are now open.
