UPDATE: Motorcycle-truck crash injures man, blocks lanes of Auburn Way North

UPDATE as of 2:45 p.m. Monday: Auburn police spokesman Mike Hirman said the motorcyclist is still at Harborview, with injures that are serious, but appear not to be life-threatening. He said it seems a Dodge Dakota truck turned left in front of the motorcycle, and that there’s nothing to suggest speed, alcohol or drugs were involved.

INITIAL POST: A man suffered life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle-car crash about 6:15 p.m. in Auburn, according to the Valley Regional Fire Authority.

The motorcyclist, about 30, was taken to Harborview Medical Center. The driver of the other vehicle wasn’t injured.

CLEARED: Collision blocking lanes on SR 18 in Auburn

A collision on westbound state Route 18 in Auburn is blocking two lanes and causing 1 1/2 miles of traffic backups, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The accident happened about 8 a.m. at milepost 4.

Troopers and emergency personnel are on scene.

 

UPDATE as of 8:16 a.m.: The scene has been cleared and all lanes are open.

CLEARED: Logging truck accident blocking SR 18 in Auburn

A crash on westbound state Route 18 at state Route 167 near Auburn is blocking all lanes and causing major traffic backups.

The accident, which involved a logging truck losing its load, happened about 9:30 a.m. State troopers are on scene.

WSDOT officials said they don’t know when the highway will reopen.

UPDATE as of 11:11 a.m.: The collision is still blocking the right lane and on-ramp from southbound SR 167.

Troopers, a WSDOT Incident Response Team and tow trucks are working to clear the scene.

UPDATE as of 12:57 p.m.: All lanes are now open.

CLEARED: Crash blocking westbound state Route 18 east of C Street in Auburn

UPDATE as of 10:40 p.m. All lanes are clear, according to the state Department of Transportation.

INITIAL POST: A crash that happened about 9:45 p.m. is blocking all lanes of westbound state Route 18 just east of C Street in Auburn, according to the state Department of Transportation.

CLEARED: All lanes blocked on eastbound SR 18 at C Street in Auburn

UPDATE as of 1:56 p.m.

All lanes are now open.

UPDATE as of 12:58 p.m.

One lane of eastbound SR 18 is open at C Street and ramps to eastbound SR 18 from SR 167 are open. The northbound and southbound SR 167 off-ramps to east SR 18 are closed.

INITIAL POST: A collision on eastbound state Route 18 in Auburn is blocking all lanes, WSDOT reports.

The crash happened at 12:11 p.m. at C Street (milepost 4).

State troopers and paramedics are on scene.

Paving to start today on Auburn street; expect delays

Auburn city crews will begin paving 116th Avenue SE between SE 304th Street and SE 312th Street today.

The work is expected to last two days. Construction will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Although the road will remain open during the paving, traffic may be reduced to one lane with alternating one-way traffic at times. Delays are expected.

Crews are repairing damaged pavement along the street, according to the city.

UPDATE at 4:55 p.m.: All lanes are now open, WSDOT reports.

INITIAL: A collision is blocking the eastbound off-ramp from state Route 18 to northbound state Route 167 in Auburn, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The collision was reported at 4:30 p.m. State troopers and a tow truck are on scene.
