ALL CLEAR: Collision blocking off-ramp from SR 18 to SR 167 in Auburn

UPDATE at 4:55 p.m.: All lanes are now open, WSDOT reports.

INITIAL: A collision is blocking the eastbound off-ramp from state Route 18 to northbound state Route 167 in Auburn, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The collision was reported at 4:30 p.m. State troopers and a tow truck are on scene.

Pavement repairs starting in Auburn Wednesday

A two-week construction project is expected to begin Wednesday on Lea Hill Road/SE 312th Street in Auburn, city officials said.

The work will take place weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. between 105th Place SE and 124th Avenue SE.

Drivers can still get through the area but traffic may be reduced to alternating one lane in each direction.

Crews will be patching pavement. The work is weather dependant.

Busy ramp from state Route 18 to northbound I-5 will close Monday

The busy ramp from westbound state Route 18 to northbound Interstate 5 is set to be closed from 5 a.m. Monday until Sept. 1.

According to the state Department of Transportation:

A 2.5-mile detour will send drivers onto northbound state Route 99 to South 320th Street. Drivers coming from Auburn can use northbound state Route 167 and westbound state Route 516 to reach I-5.

During the closure, crews will demolish the westbound state Route 18 to northbound I-5 ramp, and move, raise and reopen it less than 100 yards away. When it reopens, the entrance will be farther east

Sections of 132nd Way SW in Auburn to close Wednesday

Sections of 132nd Way Southeast will be closed Wednesday while crews pave the roadway, according to Auburn city officials.

The work is scheduled to be done from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. near the Kendal Ridge development.

Flaggers will be on scene directing traffic through the intersection. Drivers should expect delays.

Pavement replacement means road closure in Auburn

Crews are beginning work Tuesday in the area of E Street Northeast in Auburn and drivers should expect delays for the next two weeks.

E Street Northeast between East Main Street and 3rd Street Northeast will be closed to northbound traffic and 3rd Street Northeast to 4th Street Northeast will be closed to all traffic.

The 2010 Local Street Pavement Preservation project calls for damaged cement concrete panels to be replaced in the street.
