Between 8 p.m. tonight and 6:30 a.m. tomorrow, work crews will repeatedly open and close the Hood Canal Bridge draw span to test its control systems.

Each opening will close the bridge for as long as 30 minutes.

The Washington State Department of Transportation will have live information about the status of the bridge on its web site. Camera images and other information are available on the Hood Canal Bridge web page.

In addition, people can self-subscribe to a free email alert system to receive information about Hood Canal Bridge operations as well as information on many other state highways and projects.
