The date and time have been set for this summer’s closure of the southbound I-5 ramp to South 38th Street.

The busy ramp will close at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 20 and stay closed through July, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

A signed detour will direct motorists further south to the I-5 exit to South 56th Street, back onto northbound I-5, and to the northbound I-5 exit to South 38th Street.

During the closure, crews will demolish the existing ramp and build approaches for a new ramp in a new alignment as part of the Eastbound Nalley Valley project currently under construction.
