Tacoma’s Murray Morgan Bridge reopens at noon Friday although work will continue through February, city officials said.
The bridge, which connects downtown Tacoma with the Port of Tacoma and the East Foss Peninsula, closed November 2007 after an inspection found the bridge was structurally deficient.
Rehabilitation of the bridge began in January 2011.
A dedication ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 15. The event will take place near the bridge at the intersection of 11th and A streets. The public is invited.
