Starting Sunday night, closures are planned for the on-ramp from 38th Street to northbound Interstate 5 in Tacoma, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Crews will also shut down the collector distributor lanes on northbound I-5 while raised pavement markers are installed. The markers help guide drivers with reflective bumps and shoulder lines.

Detours will be in place for eastbound state Route 16 drivers, we well as those traveling from 38th Street to northbound I-5 and northbound I-5 drivers heading to City Center.

Closure times are dependent on weather but are scheduled for 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
