CLEARED: Single-car crash near SR 512 causing backup on southbound SR 167

UPDATE as of 4:15 p.m. All lanes are clear, but there is still a 4 mile backup, according to WSDOT.

INITIAL POST: A car that left the roadway and crashed on the ramp from southbound state Route 167 to westbound state Route 512 is causing backups on southbound SR 167, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The left lane of the ramp was blocked, and there was a 4 mile backup as of about 2:30 p.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.

The driver was taken to the hospital with series injuries after the crash, which happened about 12:30 p.m., according to trooper Guy Gill.
