A new section of State Highway 410, built to repair damage from a landslide in 2009, opens Thursday.

The new section eliminates a 20 minute detour through the Nile Valley west of Naches.

The Washington State Department of Transportation is staging an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday morning (Aug. 30).

The ceremony will be held on the new section of 410, a half mile past the east closure point (north of the Wood Shed restaurant).
