A section of 112th Street East in Puyallup that closed June 25 for construction has reopened, according to Pierce County Public Works.
The affected road is between Fruitland Avenue East and Woodland Avenue East.
Crews lowered the road five feet and installed sidewalks, curbs, gutters, pavement and drainage systems. The work is finished other than an asphalt protector that will be applied this fall if the weather holds.
Also this fall, workers will make improvements on a one-mile stretch along 112th Street East between Fruitland Avenue East and 86th Street East.
This section of road will be expanded to five lanes with a two-way left-turn lane and receive sidewalks, curbs, gutters and a storm drain system.
The project also includes a new traffic signal at 78th Avenue East, upgrades to the traffic signal at Fruitland Avenue East and street lighting.
Yes! Now I can get to work on time again!
