A rockslide has closed both directions of state Route 7 for five miles near Eatonville, the state Department of Transportation reported.
The slide occurred Thursday night. Rocks and debris fell onto the roadway, prompting transportation crews to close SR 7 from state Route 161 and Alder Lake.
A signed detour is in place.
This isn’t the first slide to close SR 7 this year. About 300 cubic yards of rock and material covered the roadway in April.
Transportation crews will keep SR 7 closed so an analysis of the slope can be conducted.
Any idea about how long it will be closed? Is it already re-opened?
