Tacoma Narrows Bridge tolls go up Sunday

New toll rates for the Tacoma Narrows Bridge take effect at midnight Sunday (July 1).

The Good To Go! rate will increase from $2.75 to $4, cash tolls from $4 to $5 and Pay By Mail to $6, up from $5.50.

Stadium Way construction delays

Watch for construction at the Division/Stadium Way intersection on Sunday. Crews are working Sunday to minimize traffic impacts on Division. Work starts at 9 a.m.

Crews will be working on the Fourth of July, too. On the holiday, North 1st Street will be closed from Tacoma Avenue to Stadium Way.

Stadium Way construction starts today

The Stadium Way Arterial Improvement project construction started today.

No work on Sunday, but on Monday morning construction on Commerce Street will start at 7 a.m.

Traffic on Commerce Street will be one-way southbound (toward downtown) during the duration of the work. The public can expect to see ‘No-Park’ signs on the street before then and detours will be in place before there are road closures.

112th Street East to close starting June 25 between Fruitland and Woodland avenues

Pierce County plans to close part of 112th Street East for six weeks for a construction project, starting June 25.

The road will be closed between Fruitland Avenue East and Woodland Avenue East.

Drivers should plan for additional travel time to take the detour route.

Work will continue on the street between Fruitland Avenue East and 86th Street East through this fall.
