There is NEVER enough snow on the roads to justify them. Another trend I’m seeing: Cars with front wheel drive, or 2 wheel drive on back wheels, and snow tires on ALL FOUR WHEELS! That is an ignorant driver AND a ruthless tire salesman. They go on the DRIVE WHEELS ONLY, people. If a tire dealer tells you otherwise LEAVE immediately, you are being taken advantage of!
If the roads are bad enough where you need snow tires to feel more confident… STAY HOME! If you’re that scared to drive, you’re a liability. I have a four wheel drive suv and I only drive in snow if i have to. I go over Snoqualmie Pass sometimes 8 times in Winter to get my sons home from College. Even with 4 wheel drive, I’ve spun out. Save your money. Snow tires are a waste of time in Western Wa. UNLESS you HAVE TO travel.
