UPDATE as of 2:40 p.m.: DOT reports that the power is back on to its equipment.

ORIGINAL POST: A power outage in Seattle is effecting some of DOT’s traffic tools.

The cameras, traffic flow maps, overhead message signs, active traffic management signs and ramp meters between Boeing Field and Interstate 90 are not working because of the outage.

Seattle City Light reports that the outage is impacting 28,000 of its customers. Crews hope to have the electricity restored by 5 p.m.
