More nighttime closures are planned on Interstate 5 in Federal Way this weekend, according to the state Department of Transportation.

On Friday night, crews will close all I-5 southbound lanes and two northbound lanes at state Route 18. They will reopen by 7 a.m. Saturday.

Also closing Friday night are the westbound SR 18 off-ramp to southbound I-5 and the southbound I-5 off-ramp to eastbound SR 18.

On Saturday night, all northbound lanes of I-5 at SR 18 will close until 7 a.m. Sunday. The eastbound SR 18 off-ramp to northbound I-5 and northbound I-5 ramp to westbound SR 18 will also close Saturday night.

The work is part of a $112 million project to build two flyover ramps that are expected to open by the end of this year.

You tell what time they reopen, but not what time they close the night before…
