Crash blocks all lanes of southbound Interstate 5 near Federal Way

UPDATE, 9:50 a.m.: The state Department of Transportation announced that all lanes of southbound I-5 near Federal Way have reopened.

UPDATE, 7:42 a.m.: The crash is now blocking the two right lanes of southbound Interstate 5.

The State Patrol is on the scene, which is just south of the 272nd Street exit.

EARLIER POST: A collision is blocking all lanes of traffic on southbound Interstate 5 near the South 272nd Street exit.

The Washington State Patrol and aid units are on scene.

The collision occurred just before 6 a.m. and blocked only two lanes of traffic. A statement from the state Department of Transportation at 7:21 a.m. said that all lanes are now closed.
