ALL CLEAR: Motorcycle crash blocks SR 706 and entrance to Mount Rainier National Park

A motorcycle accident is blocking eastbound state Route 706 just before the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The accident happened at 5:40 p.m. WSDOT reports that the rider is seriously injured and drivers should expect delays.

    I was still in line to get into the park at 8:45 and is WAS a job for the coroner

    We were leaving the park about 15 mins after the accident happen, traffic was only backed up to the gate. Was told we would have to either turn around and back track to an area were they would guide us out through an old logging road
    or wait a minn. of 2 hrs. Glad we didn’t wait. As we were leaving got on internet to see if their was any news about it and found out their was also a fatal car accident by were we live in Kirkland. Was really a bad day for accidents.
