Here’s a traffic warning for today (July 20) from the Seattle Times:
Expect heavy traffic Wednesday night when thousands of people will be flocking to a soccer game at Century Link Field and a concert at Key Arena.
An expected 66,000 soccer fans will attend the 7 p.m. friendly where the Seattle Sounders will play Manchester United, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
And thousands of concert goers will be heading to Key Arena for the sold-out 7:30 p.m. Katy Perry show.
Motorists are encouraged to leave their cars at home and use Metro, Sound Transit, commuter rail, or the West Seattle Water Taxi, which is adding service Wednesday night because of the soccer match.
People also are encouraged to carpool, bicycle or walk to avoid the traffic problems.
