Crews will start restriping a section Spanaway Loop Road South today.
The work, which is scheduled to last through Wednesday, is expected to impact traffic, Pierce County reports. Crews will be working on Spanaway Loop Road South from Fair Oaks Drive South to Military Road South.
When the project is completed, the roadway will feature two southbound lanes, one northbound lane and a two-way, left-turn lane. Restriping will provide more room for vehicles going south during the evening commute, the county reports.
A contractor is removing the existing striping. Pierce County public works crews will then restripe the roadway to its new configuration, the county reports.
“The new striping installation should impact drivers less than the striping removal work, and could occur as early as Wednesday of next week, depending on the weather,” the county reports.
