All clear: Crash blocks lanes of Interstate 5 near South 72nd Street in Tacoma

Update, 10:57 a.m.: The crash has been cleared from Interstate 5. All lanes of the highway are open. Traffic is backed up for about 2 miles, the Department of Transportation reports.

The Department of Transportation did not have information about any of the injuries.

Update, 10:28 a.m.: A crash involving a rolled-over vehicle is blocking the three left lanes of Interstate 5 in Tacoma. The accident occurred around 9:50 a.m. just south of the South 72nd Street exit.

The Washington State Department of Transportation says vehicles are getting by in the far right lane. Traffic is backed up for about 2 miles.

Earlier post: A multiple-vehicle collision on southbound Interstate 5 in Tacoma is blocking several lanes of the highway.

The crash occurred around 9:50 a.m. just south of the South 72nd Street exit. The Washington State Department of Transportation says the crash is blocking the three left lanes of I-5.

At least one vehicle has rolled over, and there are injuries.

Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes, if possible.
