Drivers heading south on Interstate 5 in Tacoma this morning might get caught in a rolling slowdown.

The Washington State Patrol and transportation crews began the rolling slowdown at 9 a.m. at the Puyallup River Bridge. It ends just north of 38th Street.

The rolling slowdown will give maintenance crews time to repair several potholes on the highway.

The slowdown is expected to end at 9:45 a.m.
