UPDATED: Crash slows traffic on River Road near Puyallup

UPDATE: All lanes cleared

Northbound State route 167 (River Road) near Gratzer Road near Puyallup remains blocked due to a car vs. pole collision.

Northbound traffic is getting through the area using the center turn lane.

the accident occurred at 7:40 a.m.
The Washington State Patrol and Washington State Department of Transportation Incident Response is on scene. Power company and a tow are en route. Motorists can expect delays.

and plan their trips accordingly.

  1. 17 hours after the accident has cleared and this story is still on the main TNT web page. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this either. Seems like there would have been some new traffic info for the Friday evening commute that would have moved this off the front page. I recall reading that there would be better traffic coverage on the Trib website. I don’t see it.
