The state Department of Transportation has closed state Route 410 over Chinook Pass for the winter season.

“Weather conditions are rapidly deteriorating on Chinook Pass,” DOT announced today at noon. “With more than five feet of snow already on Chinook, driving conditions are becoming too dangerous to keep the pass open.”

SR 410 is closed from Morse Creek to Crystal Mountain Boulevard. The pass is expected to reopen in the spring.
