Pacific Grill debuts new menus and brings back the half-off bar menu pricing during happy hour

Pacific Grill in downtown Tacoma debuted its new lunch, dinner and happy hour menus late last month. I was scrolling through the menus and saw something interesting on the dinner menu: A “Sunday gravy” meat sauce inspired by Bimbo’s, the legendary Italian restaurant that operated on Pacific in downtown Tacoma until September 2001 when the city bought some of the recipes and the name Bimbo’s. That summary of Bimbo’s history you just read, of course, grossly simplifies the complicated and meandering Bimbo’s story, but I’ll save the details for another blog post some other time.
