The waft of fried meat was unmistakable &#8230; Oh, wait. Nevermind. The entire Puyallup Fair smells like fried meat. Discerning that particular scent of fried meat might be tough, but once you bite into a fleischkuechle fried pie, you don&#8217;t forget the flavor. <span id="more-8967"></span></p> <p>It&#8217;s a German-Russian dish that&#8217;s a flat, fried turnover filled with a round of seasoned ground beef. Sweet Things Cupcakes &#38; Couture in Proctor opened that day and Indulge Cupcakes in Puyallup closed to prepare for a move to Sumner. Click &#8220;more&#8221; for the icing on the cupcake. </p> <p><span id="more-75"></span>After much anticipation and several months delayed, Sweet Things Cupcakes &#38; Couture <a href="http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/tntdiner/2009/05/04/cute_as_a_cupcake_sweet_things_cupcakes_">opened Sept. 12</a> in Proctor. I stopped in last week and sampled a trio of cupcakes. I’ll post more about the flavors and the store Friday. Sneak peak: the shop is Girly (with a really big G) and the cakes are delicious.
